Let’s be honest, this just might be our favorite Connecticut wedding venue period. That’s why it’s first on the list! The style of the architecture is equally entrancing to the interior design and manicured grounds, and it has us swooning.

Dramatic architecture and interiors that make for a very editorial setting
Beautiful grounds, particularly well suited to fall weddings in Connecticut
A very warm and professional ownership and management team
Dog friendly!
Style:
Gothic Revival Architecture on sprawling grounds with mature trees and open fields. The sailcloth tent creates a perfect oasis for outdoor dining and dancing.

2. The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate
One of our favorite wedding locations in Connecticut, known for its picturesque grounds. One of my favorite things about this venue is how it can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the formality of your wedding. Black tie? No problem. Cocktail party vibes? Also yes!

3. Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park
Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park offers a truly unique and diverse landscape and setting that you can’t find anywhere else in Connecticut. Being run by the State Park means it does have some limitations as far as getting ready and set-up timing, but if you love the vibe it’s well worth it.
Why We Love It:
Incredible expansive gardens make for gorgeous photos
When it comes to wedding venues in CT on the water, Eolia Mansion has it all - offering a diverse landscape of sea, field, garden, and beautiful architecture
Feels like it came out of the Italian coast, but way more accessible
Endless options for your ceremony site
Style:
Playing off the gardens, an organic wedding flower style pairs well. We also love to see a wildflower aesthetic here for Summer weddings, or something romantic and pastel in Spring.

Favorite Farm Wedding Venues in CT
Because I’m both a designer and flower farmer, farm venues will always have a special place in my heart. Winvian Farm is an upscale version of a rustic farm wedding venue, and we’re so in love with the grounds and buildings here. In a way that’s kind of difficult to describe (you just have to visit) it’s feels like a venue that epitomizes the personality of Connecticut.
Why We Love It:
The sprawling grounds and curated gardens set up against a historic estate is quintessential Connecticut.
“Farm” feels like a formality for such a high-end venue, but this venue perfectly balances rustic with elegance.
Options for a tented or barn setting, plus plenty of outdoor space for a gorgeous reception
Style:
We suggest going heavy on flowers here. The outdoor ceremony site is perfect for full floral arches and grounded meadows, while lush, full tablescapes look stunning for a barn reception.
Find a great natural light photographer for this location - bonus points if they do a mix of film and digital!
Capacity:
250 Guests
Location:
Morris, Connecticut
This venue is perfect for couples who…
Want a laid back, but still luxurious wedding
CT born & raised couples will appreciate this venue for being a perfectly -Connecticut- spot
Want open outdoor spaces to play a big role in their wedding day
Have a big guest list? This is a perfect Connecticut Venue for large weddings
You can inquire with Winvian Farm here.
2. Lion Rock Farm
Lion Rock Farm is hundreds of acres, has beautiful scenic views, boasts an enormous tented space, and can host very large wedding parties. What more could we want?
Why We Love It:
Wide open fields and rolling hills in the backdrop create a very dreamy setting and a private feeling
Convenient Hartford area wedding venue, with access to BDL airport
Blank-slate meets plentiful amenities, so you can make it your own while still having easy access to everything you need.
Convenient on-site lodging for you & your wedding party
Style:
The open fields and backdrop are a perfect space for very lush and high impact florals. We’d suggest a partial-crescent grounded arch, and high impact color (orange wedding flowers are IN for 2026 and 2027!)
Rustic elegance, with access to barns and historic structures
Natural light photographers thrive here - be sure to find someone who works well with full sun exposure!
Capacity:
200 Guests

This Venue is perfect for couples who…
Want a more private and secluded wedding venue
Love the idea of a farm wedding, but make it elevated
Want heavy floral coverage to play a primary role in their wedding day

*Our Favorite Venue in Litchfield County!
I can’t say enough great things about the Litchfield Inn. They host some of the smoothest weddings I’ve been a part of, owed in large part to the management team. If you’re seeking something upscale yet chill, this is the spot.
What We Love About It:
Crisp and clean architecture
Secluded yet accessible, the Inn is gorgeously located just off the beaten path in Litchfield Connecticut.
Open fields and spacious reception spaces give you the best of an indoor and outdoor wedding
Plenty of rooms for you & your wedding party; plus, the furnishings make for unique getting ready photos.
Style:
Lush, organic, and artistic wedding flowers are perfect for this space. The clean white backdrop works well with either classic white florals or whimsical colorful florals!
We suggest full flower coverage for your ceremony to best establish the setting in the open field.
Fine art photographers (film & digital) will capture this space expertly.
Capacity:
150-200+ (depending on indoor/outdoor usage)
Location:
Litchfield, Connecticut
This venue is perfect for couples who…
Love the location of Litchfield
Are seeking a timeless setting for their wedding
Prefer a contemporary and artistic style

2. Delamar West Hartford
*Our favorite venue in Hartford County!
A really classic, highly accessible, easy-going venue.
What We Love About It:
The ballroom is blank-slate, so we can make it as funky as you want
Multiple outdoor ceremony options
Super convenient city setting, while also feeling cool and private (and it’s our favorite West Hartford Wedding Venue!)
You can have your after-party right next door at the Artisan Restaurant
Dog friendly!
Style:
Truly, make it your own.
For flowers, we love an off-beat sculptural look at this venue, or something wild and organic. Go heavy on floral coverage, because there isn’t much decor in the venue itself.
An editorial style photographer would be great in this space!
Capacity:
250+ Guests (Large!)
Location:
West Hartford, Connecticut
This venue is perfect for couples who…
Want a convenient yet high-end location near the town center
Might have an extra large guest list, and need a larger wedding venue to accommodate
Are planning a killer after-party (with munchies)
Aren’t afraid to bring their own personality into the space
Bonus:
This Connecticut wedding venue has a very accessible location near I-84, I-91, and BDL airport.

A luxurious tent expands your options for outdoor festivities
You & your guests can stay at the Inn - super convenient!
Style:
Incredible gothic revival architecture
Lends itself well to high-drama wedding florals: we suggest sculptural florals, a mix of layered textures, and fruit/veggie features on the tablescapes.
Editorial photographer, for sure.

This venue is perfect for couples who…

As far as Hartford CT wedding venues go, nothing is more iconic than the interiors of the Hartford City Hall
Perfect spot for both full sized ceremonies and elopements, and the photos are truly breathtaking
Plenty of alcoves for couples portraits
Preferred spot for LGBTQ+ weddings
Style:
Historic hidden gem
Pillar-style wedding flowers are perfect for the ceremony space; we love a whimsical floral look in this space.
For photos, no one is better than Carla Ten Eyck of course!

Hartford, Connecticut
This Venue is perfect for couples who…
Love the idea of a City Hall Wedding, but want it to still feel special and beautiful
Crave the iconic features of the Hartford City Hall

Private Residence Weddings in CT
An honorable mention for one of our favorite wedding locations in Connecticut: there’s nothing more special or sentimental than a wedding at the family home. We love tented weddings at private residences in Connecticut, because there’s no other wedding quite like it, and we know it has a special place in your heart. We’d love to dream up a flower vision for your backyard wedding - it’d be an honor!

Meet the Wedding Florist
What’s up! I’m Izy, and I’m the floral artist behind Rocky Floral. I began designing flowers in 2018 as a respite from an uncreative, unfulfilling job, until this passion grew to my full-time thing (I took the leap in 2023 - no looking back!)

Living and breathing this artistic practice for years now has brought me a deepened understanding of floral design, which I use to create one-of-a-kind visions for each of my couples.
Consider me your collaborator and creativity amplifier, here to make wedding flowers beyond what you could’ve dreamed. Want to work with me? My books open on a rolling basis up to 18 months out - so inquire today!
