Heart, Home, and High End Floral Design
From the moment I met Alley, I could tell she has a lot of heart. Her idea for warm and modern wedding florals followed suit, and we let instinct guide us in pulling together warm, wild, and art-inspired ideas to add a high-end homeliness to the black-tie wedding.
Alley and her girls spent the morning at her soon-to-be-in-laws home, getting ready and having a little pre-celebration. Stunning bridal portraits, floral flatlays, and bridal party photos were documented by the artistic eye of Stephanie Naru.
The bouquets were a little love letter of my own, a favorite design element that I doted over for an appropriately extended period of time. We had initially chosen a cream silk ribbon for Alley, though I came across a gorgeous crinkle silk ribbon in olive days before - and with Alley’s blessing, we made the switch.
The wedding party headed to the church ceremony, where they said I-do’s in front of their loved ones. The Ceremony design featured dramatic floral pillar arrangements in classic green and white, including cascading amaranth, hops, and tomatoes on the vine.
The party then moved to a front-yard cocktail hour where Alley and Mike’s creative team, led by acclaimed Wedding Planner Christina Lovelace of Lovelace Design, curated every moment to create a warm ambiance. From trays of brightly colored cocktails to the thoughtfully styled card table, each detail felt inviting yet modern; a perfect juxtaposition of high style and intimate atmosphere.
The reception was held under a clean white sailcloth tent, framed in by mature maple trees to create an intimate setting. Artistic floral sculptures adorned the bars, while table settings were warm and playful in the candlelit glow.
Each wedding is beautiful and unique in it’s own special way, though I felt particularly lucky to be a part of Alley and Mike’s wedding day. From the pure joy of working together to the sentimental warm feeling we created, this day stood out in many ways. A memorable, artistically designed wedding for a kind couple? That’s the kind of work that lights me up.
Congrats to the Newlyweds!
